Homenaje a Mrs. Mazzini
En el primer aniversario de su fallecimiento, la alumna Felicitas Quiroga Mange de 1° año de la Escuela Secundaria presentó un proyecto con la intención de dejar un recuerdo permanente en su honor en el colegio.
La propuesta consistió en recolectar llaves junto a todos los alumnos, hacerlas fundir y con ese material hacer una placa homenaje que hoy habita el patio verde y dice:
“From SCMS students to Mrs. Mabel Mazzini in gratitude for her endless legacy of love and education.” (De los alumnos de SCMS para Mrs. Mabel Mazzini en agradecimiento por su eterno legado de amor y educación).
La placa fue presentada a los alumnos en septiembre en el Acto del Día del Maestro por Felicitas, quien compartió las siguientes palabras:
As you may know, last August 27th was the First Anniversary of Mrs. Mazzini’s death. Last year, I thought of doing a plaque on behalf of all the students for this occasion. With the CAS team and office support, this project has been possible. I would like to thank those who have collaborated with the keys and in any other way to make this happen. Special thanks to Paula Manzitti, Daniela Straw and Claudia Nieto for their guidance and trust in this project from the very beginning. The plaque will be placed in the green playground which from now on will we called Mrs. Mazzini’s playground, so that we will always remember her and let future generations know about her endless legacy of love and education. I hope you like it and once again, many thanks!
A fin de noviembre, el Board del colegio se reunió para descubrir la placa e inaugurar formalmente la ubicación definitiva en el Patio Mrs. Mazzini.
